Back in August NBC News called the ‘alt-right’ a “blanket term for a loose gathering of conservatives…that can include everyone from critics of so-called ‘political correctness’ on college campuses to hardcore white supremacists and neo-Nazis.”

This movement is not simply “a loose gathering of conservatives.” It has been well reported across the media spectrum, and by hate group watchdogs, that the ‘alt-right’ contains a significant number of people who subscribe to some form of extremist white nationalist ideology.

Imagine what would happen if people like us were forced to hide in our homes for fear of being arrested, beaten or killed for simply trying to live our lives.

Well, in Uganda today our LGBT brothers and sisters are in hiding and living in fear for their lives because of a successful campaign of hate with roots right here in America.

These men (pictured left) and other Americans created a firestorm of hate that has led to the creation of the Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Bill that was signed into law on Feb. 24, 2014.

Under the new law, any Ugandan convicted of “Aggravated Homosexuality” will spend their life in prison, that is if they are not beaten or killed by angry mobs first.
