Imagine what would happen if people like us were forced to hide in our homes for fear of being arrested, beaten or killed for simply trying to live our lives.
Well, in Uganda today our LGBT brothers and sisters are in hiding and living in fear for their lives because of a successful campaign of hate with roots right here in America.
These men (pictured left) and other Americans created a firestorm of hate that has led to the creation of the Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Bill that was signed into law on Feb. 24, 2014.
Under the new law, any Ugandan convicted of “Aggravated Homosexuality” will spend their life in prison, that is if they are not beaten or killed by angry mobs first.

BOISE, ID-The Red Pepper, a local gossip rag in Kampala, Uganda has once again published the names; photos and home addresses of known gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Ugandans, according to The Independent.
These funds will be used solely for transportation out of the city where, food and basic short term temporary lodging for their immediate safety. Then and only then will plans be made for a more permanent solution for some to flee the country.
It is only a matter of time before the house is raided and my friends are arrested by police or beaten or killed by angry mobs.
I am the author of the stories below. Some of these people are my friends and in my stories. I personally know several of them and they are terrified.
I am writing to you to express my personal outrage and disappointment that you have decided to put the political ambitions of the Tea Party over what is best for the American people and your Idaho constituents.

Washington, DC – Today, the United States Supreme Court issued an Order List revealing certain cases considered at its November 30 Conference that have been granted review. Hollingsworth v. The Perry case, along with several cases challenging the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), have been distributed for consideration at the Justices’ private Conference scheduled for Friday, November 30. Romney National Finance Co-Chair and Melaleuca CEO, Frank VanderSloot is using his resources for the promotion for partisan political flyers* circulated in at least four Eastern Idaho public high schools late October.
The American’s for Prosperity branded flyers were specifically targeting teens at $10 an hour to staff Melaleuca’s Idaho Falls and Rexburg call centers to make political phone calls to swing state voters with an anti-Obama message under the guise of a survey.
